The Vendome Square, in the background we can see the convent where Madame Pompadour has been buried.

The convent has been destroyed in 1804 in order to build Rue de la Paix.

The places as they look like today at 4, Rue de la Paix, where the convent of the Capuchins was located. Who knows wether Madame de Pompadour’s mortal remains were really moved to the catacombs or they are still under those glasses...
