THE FURNISHING: The Venetian furniture of XVIII century.

NOTES:
A small chest of drawers, which contained household goods made of lacquered, golden wood with a light blue background and a polychromy of flowers and leaves. It is completed with a “Siena yellow” marble plane and a bronze garnish. Venice, 1750.

This convex chest of drawers is made of pine tree and Swiss pinewood. The surface and the mirror are painted with delicate flowers details. The handles are made engraving the surface of the drawers.

NOTES:
A secretary bookcase made of simple lacquer. Early years of XVIII century.

These furniture were usually decorated with amatory scenes, the paper figures were cut, then glued and finally polished. The cyma is shaped like a broken tympanum; the wings are made of looking glass.

A chest of drawers-secretary bookcase, lacquered with golden Chinese figures on a black background.

Early years of XVIII century. The drawers movement is called “accordion” and it’s similar to the Dutch style.
The upper part is enriched with tiny pillars and with the cyma shaped as a broken tympanum, a typical English taste.

A Lombard-Venetian chest of drawers-secretary bookcase. Early years of XVIII century.

It is made of walnut tree brier, with the typical shape in the lower part, in the shoulders, on the front and above the cyma.
